“Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.” A heart-felt dream of every young girl is to marry a wonderful man who loves her beyond all measures. One such beautiful dream came true for our gorgeous bride Kirithika with her handsome groom Ajaiy! This is an enchanting wedding story of our smart & handsome software engineer- Ajaiy with the most, ravishing and gorgeous dentist Kirithika. It was a beautiful fairy tale wedding that portrayed their blissful love fabulously. The chemistry between the couple made the relatives cherish it as a Love marriage. Read on to know more about their adorable wedding story as Kirthika narrates it. “Hello pretty brides I am very glad to share my experience the joy and journey as a bride myself. Celebrating love between two souls surrounded by our loved ones, friends and families is the most amazing affair. Ours is an arranged marriage and I met Ajaiy at Leela palace, Chennai, for a quick brunch and chat. The moment we met it was love at first sight for both of us, sparks flew and we were gasping for words as our eyes sparkling with love. Needless to say our parents were very much excited to see us gleefully spending that morning with love and joy in the air. So they started planning our wedding and the date was fixed as on --. Our sizzling chemistry was formalised as man and wife in a traditional wedding ceremony. Sure, Marriages are made in heaven but the shopping and preparations were made exclusively for us brides to savour every moment and cherish them for lifetime. We had multiple sessions of celebrations and events, which were flooded with all our loved ones who showered us with their loving presence and heart-felt blessings.
POOCHODAL
The very first event of our marriage for which we all prepared with so much fun. The event was first decided to be conducted at home and later shifted to hotel for the purpose of social distancing. We ran errands in search of a good venue and settled with TAJ COROMANDEL being my favourite. We chose a traditional marigold decor for the event with brass-wares throughout the ballroom. My outfit and minature diamond jewellery set worn for this event were designed by my sweet mom. She also ran errands to find the perfect ring tray for us. My MUA(Neelam Studios) team decided to give a traditional look for this event with braided hairstyle. Ajaiy chose a subtle outfit for the event matched with the brooch and pocket square. He also surprised me with the most special varisai thattu (to be mentioned he stole my idea). My photography team put their heart and soul to capture every moment in style.
POUNURUKKAL
This event of ours after so many choices we finally decided to have it in ANNAI RESOTS AND SPA. Since we didn't plan much for this event my mom decided on a glitter gown with diamond jewellery for this event. We did minimum decoration with bouquets and serial lights. Ajaiy chose a bandhi for this event paired with dark blue jeans. The return gift had a bow matching to my dress which looked so good.
BRIDAL SHOWER AND PRE WEDDING SHOOT
To be very frank these came up on the way all of a sudden. My mom ran errands to arrange everything from booking the resort ,choosing dresses ,booking makeup artist, choosing photographer and many more. The first saree for my shoot was one of my MUA favourite saree from KAY fashion bay. Ajaiy wore a bandhi to pair with my saree. The second dress for the shoot was from H&M ,to pair with which Ajaiy wore a blazer from RAYMOND. The third dress from VIVEK KARUNAKARAN my all time favourite coupled with the amazing styling by NEELAM STUDIOS was our favourite look for that day. Ajaiy wore a blazer and his LOUIS VUITTON loafers to add to his style. The fourth dress was an excellent maxi from EVOLUIZONE for which Ajaiy paired with a blazer from BLACKBERRY. We prepared a special bridesmaid gift for this event for all girls and they loved it.
ENGAGEMENT
The grand engagement event was fixed at ITC GRAND CHOLA. The first saree we decided to go with bold orange colour from CO-OPTEX embodied by TINA VINCENT. The second saree with not much confusion decided to go with the trendy pastel green colour. Ajaiy wore an excellent bangala from GABBANA.LIFE which paired up with both my sarees so well. My mom decided both the sets of jewellery(first was nargas set and the second was antique set) for the saree. We went for a indoor garden theme decor for this event which was very vibrant. Ajaiy did a absolutely amazing varisai thattu (this was the best part of this event)with a whole lot of suprises from shades, watches, dresses, earings and many more. To my surprise there was a dance performance by the Mohiniyattam dancers for my favourite song and the way they welcomed us was beyond imagination. We did lighting the lamp for this event.
SANGEETH
The fun filled event was absolutely nothing short of dances, games, singing and Dj. We decided a contemproary theme for our sangeeth. We chose a very modern TWILIGHT CLOURED GAURAV GUPTA GOWN as my outfit paired with my most favourite blue sapphire jewellery set. Ajaiy wore a high neck collar suite which added to his smartness. Pujitha Devaraju our anchor did a great job. My cousins helped with the choreography of most dances. Our couple dance and other dances were choreographed by Annanya Shankar (a fun filled energetic lady). My brother Shreeram was the highlight of this event. There was full participation from everyone in the crowd particularly our cousins and my moms friends.
HALDI
The yellow event is a special event for all the brides out there. It marks the start of wedding celebration. We chose a simple lehengha for this event . Ajaiy chose a Kurtha to pair with my lehengha. We decided to go with a subtle marigold decor for this event.
BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM ENTRY
The day we entered the wedding venue. My mom did so many suprises to welcome us . She had arranged dolwalla for our entry which was super fun. We welcomed Ajaiy with 21 aarthi.
We took great efforts to customize each aarthi plate according to ajaiy's taste. The groom side arranged a special gift for those taking aarthi which had so many surprises in it.
MEHENDI
Mehandi is a joyous colourful and funfilled event. We arranged dolwalla for our entry which was absolutely a fun.We went for simple backdrop with extravagant seating arrangement for this event. We decided for a grand lehengha for this event from EVOLUIZONE( to be mentioned viji in the stores helped in the selection). Ajaiy wore a smart dress designed by VIVEK KARUNAKARAN. My mom designed a beautiful rose cut diamond jewelley set for this event.We chose MEENAKSHI to apply mehandi.
RECEPTION
The grand affair graced by more than 1000 guest was a huge success. My mom selected a kancheepuram gold silk saree embroided with original SWAROWSKI crystals as my outfit. She also designed the entire set of diamond jewellery for this event which was her precious collection for the past 10 years. She also customized a special diamond crown for me. Ajaiy wore a tuxedo from SYED BHAWKER which was excellent and his stylist made him look more ravishing. We decided an exaburent antique gold mirror theme decor for this event which was stunning vibrant extraordinary etc.....The entrance had a decorated chariot,a photobooth with our logo, a mirror signage, and a pink drape. RAJESH VAIDHYA added the tunes to this lovely evening. The MUA gave a stunning look for this event with special attachments in my hair apart from the crown designed by my mom.
WEDDING
The day we all have been waiting for! It was such a great pleasure to get wedded in front of all our relatives. We chose a very traditional decor for this event with carved gold pillars. The gold and red hues made the event more vibrant. We chose a bright red saree for this event. My mom arranged the jewllery for both the sarees(first set of jewellery with precious stones and second set was gold jewellery) . Ajaiy wore a traditional outifit which matched with me perfectly. My mom also arranged a special CHARIOT for my entry and a decorated umbrella for Ajaiy's entry.
BRIDE HOUSE FEAST
This is a simple and elegant event with only close family relatives. We both went for a subtle outfit for this event. We chose a simple orange marigold backdrop for this event. We arranged for food from a muslim biriyani shop.
GROOM HOUSE ENTRY
They welcomed us in a very grand way . The groom house had arranged a absolutely stunning entrance decor. We both went in for a traditional outfit for this event. My mom arranged the jewellery for this event also.
NAGERCOIL RECEPTION
It was another grand entity to add to the event list. We chose a bahubali theme decor for this event. We had arranged many stalls for the event from coimbatore. Ajaiy wore a suite from coax to match with my saree which was embroided with original swarowski crystals. My mom designed diamond jewellery for this event also.
POST WEDDING SHOOT
